Who We Are
Gethsemane Christian Academy is a Christ-centered early childhood education center serving children from age one through Kindergarten in Tempe and the surrounding East Valley.
We believe every child is a precious gift from God, created with unique abilities, interests, and purpose. Our teachers provide a caring, developmentally appropriate environment where children can discover God’s world, build meaningful relationships, practice new skills, and experience the love of Jesus each day.
GCA is more than a school. We are a community of children, families, educators, church leaders, and friends working together to give young learners a strong beginning—spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, creatively, and physically.

ACADEMICS
Developmentally appropriate instruction builds early skills in literacy, language, mathematics, science, communication, and problem-solving while protecting the joy and curiosity of childhood.
CHARACTER
Teachers model and reinforce kindness, patience, honesty, responsibility, forgiveness, respect, gratitude, and service. Children practice expressing emotions, resolving conflicts, cooperating, and caring for others.
DISCOVERY & PHYSICAL GROWTH
Hands-on learning, imaginative play, S.T.E.A.M., Spanish, music, art, movement, and outdoor activity encourage children to explore God’s world, try new things, develop coordination, and gain confidence in their abilities.
Our Story
For nearly 50 years, Gethsemane Christian Academy has been serving families in Tempe with Christ-centered early childhood education.
Since opening our doors in 1978, generations of children have learned, grown, and experienced the love of Jesus in a nurturing environment. While our campus and programs have grown over the years, our mission has remained the same—to know Jesus more and make Him more known.
